CERF was chosen by the ISSCT to host the Factory Commission’s process workshop. The event was an opportunity for CERF to explain its work in the sugarcane industry and to promote the reputation of Reunion Island. 30 delegates from 10 countries and 30 people from the sugarcane sector in Reunion Island met from 20 to 23 October to discuss green sugarcane and its impact on sugar processing.
The presentations made during the meetings and the field visits stimulated many interesting discussions and helped make the event a great success. Thanks to the large number of countries present, all the participants were able to share their thoughts on green sugarcane and benefit from the others’ experience.
The next ISSCT Congress will be held in Veracruz, Mexico, in 2010.
